essay....hmmm

introduction to my new essay....

The Grapes of Wrath, Chapter 21
Throughout Steinbeck’s novel, The Grapes of Wrath, individuals are placed in seemingly impossible situations.  These characters adopt attitudes which share similar manifestations; savage hardheadedness, anger and despair—showing man’s greatest weakness, which is not ignorance as we may think.  It is the pure inability of carnal beings to see beyond the immediate.  They simply and desperately cling to selfishness in moments of trial.   This is the theme that recurs often in life as well as the novel.

...good?? bad???
